Becoming a member; rights and obligations of members:
1. A Czech citizen or a foreigner may become a CSSS member on the basis of an application (Czech version here ) being approved by the Presidium.
2. CSSS members have the right to take part in all CSSS activities, to vote and stand in elections to the Presidium or other bodies established by the Presidium.
3. CSSS members are must adhere to CSSS Rules, participate in its activities, take on tasks relating to CSSS activities and pay member’s fee.
4. Scientific and educational institutions, authorities, companies and other bodies may become CSSS support members (non-voting) on the approval of the Presidium.
5. The CSSS may, on the basis of Presidium proposal and General Assembly approval, appoint members of honour on the basis of appraisal of their contribution to soil science in CZ and abroad.
6. The CSSS defends the professional rights of its members.
7. Members pay an annual fee CZK 300 (students CZK 150). This fee includes also membership in the International Union of Soil Sciences (IUSS).
