The objectives of CSSS activities are:
to take care of all-round development of individual disciplines of soil science, and the branch in general, in relation to other scientific disciplines
to support the practical exploitation of soil science in agriculture, forestry, engineering, landscape planning and environmental protection
to contribute to objective processing of soil information for key decision-making by respective officials and institutions in the field of soil evaluation and management, soil exploitation and EIA
to inform the public about the state of our soil and the importance of soil as a natural resource, in terms of its function in the landscape, in the environment and for the global ecosystem
to contribute to a specific focus of education in soil science and its applications at respective universities
