The objectives of CSSS activities are:

  • to take care of all-round development of individual disciplines of soil science, and the branch in general, in relation to other scientific disciplines

  • to support the practical exploitation of soil science in agriculture, forestry, engineering, landscape planning and environmental protection

  • to contribute to objective processing of soil information for key decision-making by respective officials and institutions in the field of soil evaluation and management, soil exploitation and EIA

  • to inform the public about the state of our soil and the importance of soil as a natural resource, in terms of its function in the landscape, in the environment and for the global ecosystem

  • to contribute to a specific focus of education in soil science and its applications at respective universities

  • an image
